Welcome to Out Here In the Field. Hobart’s latest offering is so much more than [just] a music festival. At Nice Try we’ve built Out Here In The Field (OHITF) to be an event for all the senses, a collective experience you’ve all been waiting for, right here in Hobart.

What is OHITF

OHITF is a music festival set to be held in Hobart in March 2022. It’s a brand-new offering for festival fans, set to be an experience for all the senses.

When is OHITF?

19 March 2022. It will be here before you know it.

What can I bring to OHITF?

  • Comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear to suit changing weather conditions
  • Hat and sunscreen
  • You can bring a small bag (under 25cm x 25 cm, no backpacks or satchel bags will be admitted into the event) but you will be asked to present your bag for inspection upon entrance to the site.
  • Low sling or short beach chair (no tall camping style chairs)

What can’t I bring to OHITF?

  • Alcohol, illegal drugs or any illicit substances of any kind
  • Cash – All food, bar and merch outlets will be cashless
  • Eskies, picnic baskets, backpacks or large bags
  • Glass of any kind
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks, flares, sparklers, or any other explosive or combustible material of any kind
  • Animals of any kind (excluding Assistance/Service dogs)
  • Musical instruments of any kind
  • Portable sound systems
  • Audio or video recording devices (excluding mobile phones)
  • Professional photography equipment 
  • Tall camping chair

I’m under 18 can I attend OHITF?

No. OHITF is strictly an over 18s event.

Suggestions for a festival outfit?

The options are endless! But let’s keep any culturally appropriated outfits at home yeah?

How can I get a job at OHITF?

Interested in working at OHITF? Have festival experience? Get in touch at info@nicetry.com.au – We can’t promise anything but we will be putting together a ground crew in the future.

Why is OHITF called OHITF?

Because intergalactic space station was taken. Kidding. We wanted a name which promoted our relaxed atmosphere

Will you be announcing any more artists?

Can my band play OHITF?

Keep an eye on our social media for more details on this one in the coming months. We have a plan to find the best local band(s) to fit the bill.

Can I busk at OHITF?

No. We’re going to leave the music to the talented humans on stage for this one

Can I bring my guitar and jam at OHITF?

Love your work but. No.

No. Absolutely not. For your own safety and security, only purchase tickets through legitimate providers. Scammers love to target events and getting scammed isn’t fun for anyone involved.

Are there tickets still available?

Sure are! Although they are selling fast!

Can I get a discount if I buy more than one ticket?

Check out our double date option – A four ticket bundle which will save you some cash.

What does VIP mean?

Very Important Person.

Yeah but what do I get with my VIP ticket?

Every VIP ticket gives you access to the front of stage area, separate bathrooms, an exclusive VIP bar and complimentary wine tumbler.

Can I get a free ticket to OHITF?

Umm no. Love your enthusiasm though.

As much as we’d love you to stay, OHITF is a one-day festival and there are no camping or accommodation options on site.
